btw

Friday was the Homecoming cermoni. One princess from each grade was to be elected, one from the freshman grade, sophmore, junior and senior, then also the Homecoming Queen from the senior class. I heard there was a lot of people voting for me. And when I reached final four I wasn't gonna loose, in other words my competitive side kicked in. As you can see on the picture I got my crown, unfortunetely it was the princess crown, but I wasn't too bummed. Pretty neat actually. The whole thing was so American.

18

Officially an adult now. Now don't tell me that's not wierd, because it is. I mean, it was just yesterday that I dropped my vegetables on the floor so I wouldn't have to eat them. How wierd it may be it's still a fact, 18, adult. Being here it doesn't really feel as that big of a deal though, can't do that much more that I already couldn't do. That's the part where I kind of wish I could have been back home. But at the same time, man I had fun last night. It was the Winter Dance at school, which sounds so much more formal than it was. We were just dancing all night and having so much fun. Before we were at Hannah's house though, got ready, had food - a lot of food, took pictures and mingled around. Even got a cake, everyody sang and I got presents, real nice birthday party I must say. Went to bed at 4am, enough said, I had a great night.

IV and EKG

Gonna try to sum it up nice here. We've had a stomach virus going around in the county, Connie and Steve's daughter, Courtney's family got it, then Connie and Steve got sick. I just waited for it, something to look forward to I thought with ironi.. But when I finally got it friday night I had to add a little something to it. Fainted twice and of we went to the hospital, at 11pm They did some testing and when it came for the big test, try to stand up again, I failed. My heart rate went up to 200 and I sat down again. Got two bags off IV put in, awesome. Then Hannah, who of course was with me, as always, got me laughing, and it went up to 200. Wierd I know. Then it was the EKG to check my heart. After a while I did the test again, accomplished. Then it was on to the next one, walk. Passed it pretty good I must say. Then that was that, and we left at 3am.
But the whole thing was that I had some sort of dehydration. Had a real fancy name too. Just too lazy to look it up. Ok not much of suming up. Lets try it again, so to sum up, had an awesome weekend.

Homecoming

America is a lot for traditions and ceremonies. High Schools have many of them and have had over the years. One of the old ceremonies that occur each year is Homecoming. Every football and basketball season there is an Homecoming game. 4 girls are being nominated from each class and finally there will be 4 winners. The winning girl from the senior class will become the Homecoming Queen. Who will win the wholw thing is announced in half-time. All of the girls dress up and there's a little ceremonie going on when the big moment is there. A lot of people watching and getting exited about it.

If you don't see where I'm going with this I'll tell you. Find out today I got nominated. Will be on the court, all dressed up, people watching.. It will be fun, it will. I'll get the whole American experience and all. It's just, don't know what I'm gonna wear!

awesome vs. terrible

Just got home from Camp Snowball in West Virginia. Went there with my american twins, Hannah and Gabe French, their parents and another family. It was a skiing resort called Snowshoe, would say it's pretty similar to the swedish mountains. It was three days filled with food, skiing, sleping, food, socializing, skiing, soaking in hot-tubs and more food. You might have noticed that most events here in the U.S. concists of food in one way or another. But we had a lot of fun moments that will be remembered. Here are some examples!

Example 1: non-functioning electronics that finally got fixed - by me.

Example 2: Crash from the big jump - Hannah.

Example 3 - jumping from the hot-tub house down in the snow piles - that would be me and Gabe.

Example 4 - getting lost in the forrest - me, Gabe and Dylan.

Example 5 - yelling at the people cutting the lines for the lift - me, Hannah and her mom Joyce. All of them and more will be great memories.

Now to the terrible part. My computer is broke. Probably the hard drive. Hope I can save all of my pictures, otherwise I will cry, no doubt. Doing good using the host parents comp for now though. But I miss mine, I mean I manage everything from there - school work, music, pictures.. and my blog! It's just crappy..

not for me

I'm surrounded by new years resolutions. These deals people make with them selves here is mostly based on living a more healthy life-style. My host parents have always had a good diet, better than what a lot of americans eat probably. But it's still american food, a lot of deep fried stuff, butter and heavy stuff. But now it's going to be even more healthy food here in the house which I'm totally psyched about.
Other friends of mine are done with sweets and soft drinks, well they might allow them selves to have it ones in a while. But still, toward a better life-style. If it's not about food it's about something else, like getting better grades, making the team or just accomplish something.

But it feels so great when people ask me what my new years resolution is and I just twitch my shoulders and say that I don't really know. It's awesome not to feel that pressure. I kind of like not having one. Maybe that will be my new years resolution, to not have one.. I'll think it over.
