Never been sure what date it is that we eat semlor on, but I knew it was in February, and that was enough for me. Made a small batch, brought to school and had Connie and Steve try them. They were a huge success! Even though I cheeted with them (used a pre-prepared bread mix and cinnamon instead of cardemom)...

Papa John's!

As you may have understood from reading my memoirs, ball games of any kind here are a big deal. The last game we went to was our girls district basketball game, which is win or you're done, end of season, game over. Now this means it's more fun stuff going on too. The biggest pizza company around, Papa John's, had their PR guy here and he was aranging a contest. Now can you add 1 and 1? Pizza and contest? Well, simply eat as much pizza as you can in 3 minutes.
There was two contestants, both pretty big guys, but I'd say they bigger guy was the favorite of the two. So after stuffing their faces with god know how many pieces it was a tie. That led to one more piece, as fast as they could eat it. And it was here that the underdog stepped up, he just jammed the slice into his mouth in seconds. Some would call it impressive, I call it gross.

2 weeks

First conditioning practice - done. The first one out of ten in two weeks. And oboy if I have missed working out like this! My body will feel amazing tomorrow, and I'm excited about it too. And what heals sore muscles better than to work out even more? I couldn't tell you.

Track

A little heads up for all of my dear readers. Track season starts on Monday, I will have practices, meets and a lot less spear time.This will result in less posts all together but probably more about my attempt to do track. For my Swedish readers out there who might be lost right now, track = friidrott.
I have some minor experience in the field from a long time ago, but I'm so pumped, really am. Hopefully I'll do good, otherwise I'll get mad.

Grammy's

Lady Gaga showed up in an egg, literally, Rihanna is wearing a see-through dress as usual and Ricky Martin put on his silver pants for the night. I'm pumped for a fun night parked in front of the TV.

countdown

1 month, 7 days and a couple of hours. That is how long of a time it is until I get to see my family. They will be coming here, to Kentucky, to Bardstown. Not gonna lie, it's gonna be wierd, but it's also gonna be so freakin fun! Here for a couple of days, then we take of to New York. Times Square, Statue of Liberty, Central Park, Empire State Building and the whole package! I can not wait!

Finally

The good news is that my computer is back and that it is working. The not so good news is that I lost everything on it, pictures, music, movies etc. Not gonna lie, I'm a little excited about putting it all together again, especially the music. But that I lost all of my pictures really sucks.. Just gonna have to take even more the second part of my year!

Superbowl

Superbowl, one of the biggest sport events in the world. For the first time ever I actually watched it, I understood what was going on and I enjoyed it! It also made the whole thing better when I cheered for the team that won, the Green Bay Packers. Why is a little random though. I have two reasons. One is that the packers fans are called cheese heads, and I love cheese so that's pretty obvious. Then I also have a packers hat...

snow day = make-up day

We are all out of make-up days here people. Meaning that for every snow day we have from here on we will have one day taken away from our summer break. Really don't need that, just so unnecessary. So I would really be fine with no more snow now. But we're talking Kentucky here, you never know what the weather will bring you!
